Flower Kits

What Are They?

Meet our Flower Kits: thoughtfully curated, season-specific collections of cut flowers in a cohesive, romantic palette — designed to help you grow market-style bouquets right in your own backyard. Each kit features a carefully selected mix of established liners and/or premium bulbs and corms, depending on the season, with harder-to-find varieties often grown by specialty cut-flower farmers.

We choose flowers for their beautiful colors, unique forms, ease of growing, and cut-flower performance, bringing together varieties you won’t typically find at your local garden center.

Each kit is designed for a standard 4 ft × 8 ft garden bed but can easily be adapted to the space you have. Detailed growing guidance and a suggested bed layout are included, taking the guesswork out of planning so you can simply plant, grow, cut, and enjoy.

What's Included: Spring Cut Flower Kits

Each Summer Kit includes over 40 premium starter plants, thoughtfully selected to create layered texture and cohesive, bouquet-ready blooms. For the full variety list, plant quantities, and details, visit the Summer Kit product page or click the “Shop Summer Kits” button.

What people are saying about our kits!

Just purchased my THIRD flower kit!

I am having the absolute best time with the flower kits! I was honestly a little scared at first, but Amanda held my hand every step of the way and made the whole process feel easy and FUN! Just purchased my THIRD flower kit!

My girls and I have completely fallen in love with the experience. It’s become such a special part of our routine and gives us the perfect excuse to get outside and spend meaningful time together.

I’m so grateful for the guidance, encouragement, and JOY these kits have brought into our home. Highly recommend!

The flower kit was so productive!

I bought a spring cut flower garden kit from Elm Creek Flower Farm and honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. I was interested originally because I garden in a small space in my front yard, and was unable to find the varieties I want in small quantities. Everything was thoughtfully put together in such beautiful colors that are very hard to find in my area! The quality of the plants was beautiful, and the clear instructions made it feel totally doable even for someone who isn’t a professional gardener. What surprised me the most was just how productive the kit was. I’ve been able to cut such beautiful flowers in any small 8 foot garden bed! There’s something really special about walking outside and gathering your own bouquet.
You can tell so much care and knowledge went into designing the kit. If you’ve ever wanted a cut flower garden but didn’t know where to start, this is such a wonderful way to do it.

So easy to plant — even at 69!

At 69 years old, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy Elm Creek’s flower kit was to plant. The plants are small upon arrival and the layout is already planned for you, so it took me only about 30 minutes from start to finish. The growing guide made everything very straightforward.

The flower selection and color palette were beautiful, and the plants produced so many blooms all season. I was able to make and gift bouquets to friends and family. Such a wonderful experience and I’m already looking forward to planting another kit!!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • $175 per kit. This reflects the cost of sourcing premium liners, bulbs and corms, along with the time and care that goes into growing, tending, and hardening off each plant before it reaches you. Custom packaging, plant labels, growing guides, and suggested bed layouts are also included.

  • Kits are seasonal and timed for planting -- you will receive a shipping notification once they are shipped.

    • Spring Flower Kits (fall-planted) ship late October

    • Summer Flower Kits ship early April

  • Absolutely. We choose easy, reliable varieties and include a step-by-step growing guide plus a snapshot quick sheet. Need help? Message us anytime during the season.

  • Yes. We offer two self-serve pickup days in October (Spring kits) and April (Summer kits). Your order will be boxed and labeled with your name.

  • Flat-rate $30 per kit. These are live plants netted in heavy, protective boxes that need to arrive quickly; we don’t pad shipping costs.

  • Have your planting area ready before your kit arrives — clear any weeds, make sure you have irrigation or a watering plan in place, and prepare your soil with compost or your preferred soil amendment.

Don’t worry about having everything figured out ahead of time! Your growing guide will walk you through planting, spacing, watering, feeding, and caring for your flowers throughout the season.

  • Each kit includes a thoughtfully curated mix of established liners and/or premium bulbs and corms, depending on the season, along with a detailed growing guide, quick-reference guide, plant labels, and a suggested 4 × 8 ft bed layout. Everything you need to take the guesswork out of growing your own cutting garden.

  • No. Kits are designed to fill a standard 4×8 bed, but you can plant anywhere with sun—beds, borders, or tucked-in spots. Just follow spacing and be mindful of plant heights if you don’t use the suggested layout.

  • Yes and no. Some staples will always be included like, ranunculus, anemones in the spring kits and dahlias and zinnias in the summer kits, but we do add new varieties each year.

  • Not at this time.

  • Both. Some varieties are true perennials (return each year), some are annuals, and a few may reseed.

  • Yes — with a little extra care. Spring kits can be overwintered using frost cloth and diligence. Plant in well-drained soil, then during freezes cover plants with frost cloth on hoops or some other structure (not plastic on foliage). As a general guide, many plants in the kit are fine to around 25°F uncovered; below that, cover. For prolonged cold snaps, keep cloth on, vent on sunny days, and water normally (avoid overwatering in winter). A light mulch around the base and a south-facing spot or raised bed adds protection. We cover overwintering in detail in the included growing guide.

  • Our plants are mature starter plants, grown on from liners until they’re well established and ready for your garden. They’re hardened off before shipping, giving you a healthy head start without having to grow from seed or tiny plugs.

  • If your kit arrives damaged in transit, please contact us right away and send clear photos of the plants, packaging, and shipping box. We’ll use these photos to file a claim with the carrier and will work with you to make it right, including a refund when appropriate.

Because these are live plants, we’re unable to guarantee plants once they’ve been delivered and are growing under conditions outside of our care. If you ever have questions or concerns about your plants, though, please reach out — we’re always happy to help.
