Flower Kits

What Are They?

Meet our Flower Kits: thoughtfully curated, season-specific collections of 47 organically grown starter plants in a cohesive, romantic color palette. Every kit is crafted to thrive in a standard 4ft × 8ft garden bed yet can be tucked wherever you have full sun. We’ve selected exclusive flower farmer varieties bred for long stems and exceptional vase life, and we pre-pinch plants so they branch early and produce more blooms. Each kit includes a step-by-step growing guide, snapshot growing guide, and a suggested bed layout. Because the plants are starts, they’re super easy to plant — just set, water, and care and you’ll be cutting beautiful bouquets all season long.

  • Yes. We offer two self-serve pickup days in October (Spring kits) and April (Summer kits). Your order will be boxed and labeled with your name.

  • Flat-rate $40 per kit. These are live plants in heavy, protective boxes that need to arrive quickly; we don’t pad shipping costs.

  • Prep your planting area:

    • Clear weeds and set up irrigation

    • Amend soil with organic compost and a slow-release organic fertilizer

    • After planting, we recommend organic Sluggo around the bed to discourage insects from eating your baby plants, they love tender young plants.

  • 47 organically grown starter plants in soft, romantic colors, a detailed growing guide, a snapshot quick guide, and a suggested 4×8 layout—just plant, care, and enjoy bouquets all season long.

  • No. Kits are designed to fill a standard 4×8 bed, but you can plant anywhere with sun—beds, borders, or tucked-in spots. Just follow spacing and be mindful of plant heights if you don’t use the suggested layout.

  • Yes and no. Some staples will always be included like, ranunculus, anemones in the spring kits and dahlias and zinnias in the summer kits, but we do add new varieties each year.

  • Starting summer 2026, we will offer kits for smaller garden beds -- 4 ft X 4ft.

  • Both. Some varieties are true perennials (return each year), some are annuals, and a few may reseed.

  • Yes — with a little extra care. Spring kits can be overwintered using frost cloth and diligence. Plant in well-drained soil, then during freezes cover plants with frost cloth on hoops or some other structure (not plastic on foliage). As a general guide, many plants in the kit are fine to around 25°F uncovered; below that, cover. For prolonged cold snaps, keep cloth on, vent on sunny days, and water normally (avoid overwatering in winter). A light mulch around the base and a south-facing spot or raised bed adds protection. We cover overwintering in detail in the included growing guide.

  • Typically 8–10 weeks old — robust, garden-ready, and pre-pinched for branching and more blooms.

  • We do not offer refunds. If your kit arrives damaged in transit, please file a claim with the carrier (USPS or UPS); shipping includes insurance. Because these are live plants, the buyer assumes all liability once delivered—we can’t be responsible for growing conditions or outcomes. That said, we’re here for you every step of the way: if something looks off when your plants arrive, take clear photos the same day and message us. We’ll review and work with you to get things right.
