Please read these policies in full before shopping. Orders placed in violation of these policies may be canceled.
Sale date
Our 2025 Dahlia Tuber Sale is on Saturday, February 18 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific. This is our only online tuber sale for 2025 and we will not restock.
Email updates
We’ll send an email before and after the sale with varieties and shop details. Newsletter subscribers hear first. Add info@elmcreekflowerfarm.com to your safe senders; if not favorited, emails may land in spam. We aren’t responsible for emails filtered by your provider.
Satisfaction guarantee
We are grateful for your support and want you to be happy with your order. We guarantee our tubers are true to variety and will arrive with at least one viable eye. Tubers are stored in a controlled environment; some eyes may be visible on arrival while others wake more slowly. Open and inspect your order as soon as it arrives.
Reporting window
If something looks off that is not related to shipping damage, email photos to info@elmcreekflowerfarm.com within 5 days of delivery. We will review and, when appropriate, replace or refund. If an issue is caused by shipping damage or loss, please file a claim with the carrier; shipments are insured. After 7 days from delivery, the buyer assumes responsibility for the tubers and we are unable to offer refunds or replacements.
Shipping
Carrier: USPS Priority Mail to U.S. addresses only (including Alaska and Hawaii).
Timing: Tubers ship zone-dependently from early March through mid-April. We cannot fulfill early shipping requests. You will receive tracking by email when your order ships. We cannot guarantee specific arrival dates due to potential carrier delays.
Rates:
• 1–2 tubers: $12.00
• 3–15 tubers: $18.00
• 16–40 tubers: $25.00
• 40+ tubers: $45.00
Shipping issues
Once a package has been accepted by USPS and tracking is issued, we can’t be responsible for carrier mishandling, delays, theft, or loss. All packages are insured. If your package is lost, damaged, or stolen in transit, please file a claim directly with USPS and email us your claim number and photos so we can assist.
Local pickup
We do not offer local pickup for dahlia tubers at this time.
Cart and sell-outs
Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. Your order is confirmed only after checkout is completed and you receive an order confirmation email. Popular varieties can sell out quickly; we appreciate your patience and kindness—we are a small family farm working with finite stock.
Combining orders
We cannot combine separate orders after checkout. Each order is packed and labeled individually so we can ship promptly and accurately.
Payment
We accept most major credit cards and Shop Pay. For a faster checkout, save your card to your device and be ready to enter any Shop Pay SMS code if prompted.
Dahlia virus notice
Plant viruses exist in the dahlia world and can be present without visible symptoms. On our farm we monitor plants closely, cull anything suspicious, sanitize tools during harvest and dividing, and do not allow outside harvesting. We do not lab-test every plant and therefore cannot guarantee tubers are completely virus-free. Buyers acknowledge this risk. We do not refund for plants displaying virus-like symptoms, as many environmental factors can cause similar signs (stunting, curling, spotting, discoloration).
Limit of liability
After the 7-day arrival window and/or once a tuber is planted, Elm Creek Flower Farm is not responsible for factors outside our control, including improper storage, shriveling, weather, growing conditions, pests, plant performance, failure to thrive, or negligence. Any approved remedy will not exceed the purchase price of the affected tuber(s). Gift cards are final sale.
Tuber clumps
We are one of the few farms that ship dahlias as clumps rather than single tubers. You may divide to create more plants, or plant the clump as-is for a larger start.
Respectful communication
We care deeply about this work and read every message ourselves. We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order for abusive or disorderly conduct via email, messaging, or social media, including harassment, threats, profanity, or bot activity. Please be kind—this is a small family business.
