I love adding blue flowers to bouquets because they work with almost every color palette.  Blue is one of the hardest colors to find in cut flowers, which makes this delphinium an essential in our cut flower garden.

When to Plant

Zones 3–7: Plant in fall and allow plants to establish before winter. Delphiniums are very cold hardy and can overwinter outdoors in these zones. 

Zones 8+: Fall planting is ideal. Plants establish during the cooler months and produce strong spring blooms. Delphiniums prefer cool temperatures and may struggle once summer heat arrives.
